Wictec 50 burglar & bullet resistance
Stick construction
Burglar resistant according to DIN V ENV 1627
Resistance Class WK 1 / WK 2 / WK 3
General:
- 50mm sight lines outside and inside
- Thermal insulation corresponding to standard façade with insulation strips made of ABS with standard glazing
- Similar processing advantages as standard mullion and transom profiles
- Attainment of the respective resistance class WK 1/WK 2/ WK 3 according to DIN V ENV 1627 through following additional measures:
Resistance Class WK 1: - Standard façade with additional infill in P2A according to DIN EN 356
- Resistance Class WK 2:
Screwing through profile walls with longer screws and
pressure profile 3030011. Infill P4A according to DIN EN 356. - Resistance Class WK 3:
Screwing through profile walls with longer screws and additional, continuous reinforcement profile 3030012 mounted on the respective pressure profiles of mullion and transom. Infill in P6B according to DIN EN 356.
Construction depths:
- Corresponding to WICTEC 50 standard façade and admissibility according to resistance class.
Profile technique:
- Pressure profile 303001 (WK 2) screwed with ST 5.5 in distance of 300mm
- Pressure resistant back-feeding of glass panes in area of screwing and safeguarding back-feeding against slipping
- Safeguarding TORX screw head wit 4070024.
Integration of units: (WK 1/WK 2/WK 3)
- Only combination units (e.g. turn/tilt windows and doors) with similar
or higher resistance class should be integrated in the façade.
Fundamentally, the same rules apply as for fixed glazing. The processing of
integrated units should be in accordance with the guidelines underlined in the test certificate. The integration of these units should be clarified under advisory opinion and in accordance with test evidences.
All further technical characteristics of series and processing guidelines in compliance with WICTEC 50 standard series.
Stick construction
Bullet resistant according to DIN EN 1522
Resistance Class FB4
General:
- The façade has been tested in 2003 according to DIN EN 1522 in Resistance Class FB4
- Stick construction with 50mm profile sight lines outside and inside.
- Thermal insulation corresponding to standard façade with insulation strips made of ABS and bullet resistant glazing.
- Similar processing advantages as standard series
- Application of continuous additional aluminium plankings in area of pressure profiles.
- Screwing additional profiles (plankings) either in standard type or by step drilling in case of lower construction depth of cover profiles
- Application of reinforced glazing support (shim) 197503 is prescribed due to higher weight per unit area.
The glazing support must be trimmed according to the table specification for infill thicknesses (IT) 27-51mm. Additionally, the compensation profile 196068 (4mm) must be snapped on the glazing support.
Construction depths:
- Corresponding to standard WICTEC 50 façade
- Construction depth of cover profile > 25mm
Profile technique:
- Screwing pressure profile 135193 in the screw channel (screw distance ≤ 300mm) corresponding to standard façade
- The additional profiles (bullet resistant planking 3030012) are screwed direct on pressure profiles, screw distance ≤ 300mm staggered to the screw of pressure profile
- Selectively also admissible with step drilling in additional profile for lower construction depth of cover profile.
- Pressure resistant back-feeding of glass panes in area of pressure profile screwing. Secure the back-feeding against slipping
Execution of cross joint area similar to standard façade
Uniform cuttings of pressure, additional and cover profiles with 1mm gap dimension per side (cutting A-52mm)
Integration of units:
- Only combination units (e.g. turn/tilt windows or doors) with similar bullet resistance (Resistance Class FB4) should be integrated in the façade.
- Infill weights up to 280kg are possible
- All further technical characteristics of series and processing guidelines in compliance with WICTEC 50 standard series.
- Formation of junctions to structure in accordance with the necessary bullet resistance class of the project.
