Complete glass walls can be opened almost fully with the thermally insulated aluminium Schüco ASS 70 FD [Senfold] folding sliding door. The door leaf stack folds easily, with minimal force, inward or outward, and slides to the right and/or to the left. The door leaves roll almost silently on high-quality roller carriers and are securely guided at the top and at the bottom. An ideal solution for openings in any extension, balcony, sunroom, conservatory, or around swimming pools, also suited to commercial situations, including pavement cafes, restaurants, and showrooms. These profiles are painted to any RAL colour from the Syntha Pulvin or Interpon D range, or with a woodgrain affect from the Decoral range (contact our technical office for woodgrains available) and fabricated in Senators’ modern manufacturing facility based in Wexford, Ireland using fully computerised CNC machinery and high skilled personnell.

• Can be manufactured to maximum height of 3000mm, with panel widths of up to 1200mm, depending on height. 
• The individual units are simply folded into a small space and pushed to the sides - quickly and compactly. This creates the ideal connection between the interior and exterior.

Energy and security
An overall u-value of under 1.3 W/m2K (using triple glazed units with a centre pane u-value of 0.7W/m2K) is achievable giving a very high thermal insulation. Burglar resistance to resistance class WK2 (optional) and a high level of weather resistance against driving rain (600 Pa as standard) are just two of the outstanding features of this system.

Comfort & Safety
This folding door ystem can be opened both outwards (recommended) and inwards, but you will not lose any living space due to the way in which the door leaves can be stored to one side. It is also suitable for balcony glazing. The smooth, low-noise operation of the stainless steel tracks and a flat threshold, if required, make Senfold folding sliding doors an ideal system for residential areas and public spaces. "Bringing the outside in". Sound reduction up to class 4 (40-44 db sound reduction) can be achieved thanks to the use of special panes. 'Finger safe' gaskets specifiaclly designed to be safe should fingers get trapped upon closing.

Design
Narrow profile face widths (as of 120 mm) and rounded profile contours ensure an attractive design – the outer frame and leaf frame are mitre-cut on all sides. A flush-fitted glazing bead enhances the well-balanced frame architecture. Concealed drainage is also possible, so that there is no need to compromise on good design.
